Shanaya Herrera Vega

Shanaya Herrera Vega (Havanna, 2001) is a Cuban visual artist and photographer whose work centers on contemporary photography, visual identity, and artistic storytelling. Graduated with aBachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts, she explores the expressive power of the image through conceptual photography, Porträtmalerei, and visual narratives that reflect identity, Emotion, and cultural sensibility.

She is theFounder and Creative Director of the brand Mai Mai, a visual identity and photography project that merges artistic vision with branding, Ästhetik, and personal expression. Through Mai Mai, she develops creative projects that blend fine art photography with fashion, Design, and visual communication, establishing a distinctive voice within the emerging contemporary Cuban art scene.

Her photographic work focuses on composition, atmosphere, and emotional resonance, often exploring themes such as femininity, introspection, Erinnerung, and the poetic dimension of everyday life. Working between documentary style and conceptual experimentation, she captures images that transcend the visual to evoke a deeper artistic experience.
