An exercise in self-characterization. Inspired by Renaissance sketches, I seek a monochromatic palette and strategic tone. The subject is in formation, unfinished, with an anesthetized face, perhaps in transition or in constant change. The merging of subject and background is a recurring device in my work to speak of the influence of context on people.
