The health crisis created by the Covid-19 pandemic has generated changes in the life of today's human being. It is almost impossible to stop imagining what could happen after the coronavirus is controlled or eliminated. “Safe old master” discusses how the fact of having lived this fateful period beginning in 2019 will remain in the collective memory of humanity, “plastifying” a self-portrait in oil of a teacher from the past makes us consider the idea of “conceiving ourselves” as the “preserved” to face the “new world” after the Covid-19, with its almost certain dilemmas in terms of the economic, politisch, social and of course, in the artistic field.
