The pictorial series “Defenestrations” arises from a deep reflection on haloes, those emblematic signs that, in religious iconography, delineate the divinity and status of saints. Jedoch, in this work, we seek to decontextualize them from their sacred environment to explore their meaning beyond faith: as symbols of power and control in a hierarchical social structure.
