Gruppenausstellung – PRISMA. Neujahrsauflösung
The second edition of thePrisma Contest, organized by theArteMorfosis platform, took place during the challenging year of 2020. With the theme oflooking towards the future, youngvisual artists living in Cuba were invited to share their artistic goals for the new year through a short video, along with three recent two-dimensional works. From this selection emerged a collective exhibition titledNew Year Resolutions of Contemporary Cuban Artists, which was presented in early 2021 at the ArteMorfosis gallery in Zurich.
The call received a wide and diverse response, revealing the vitality and richness ofKubanische zeitgenössische Kunst at that moment. The exhibition highlighted a broad spectrum of styles, techniques, and conceptual approaches, ranging from introspective explorations to socially engaged statements. Together, they shaped a plural and representative panorama of a new generation of Cuban creators.
This edition of the contest not only provided international visibility for the participating artists but also served as a platform for dialogue, connecting their aspirations with the artistic landscape opening up after such a complex year.
