Acerca del artista

(Ciego de Ávila * 1987) Cuban visual artist and photographer, currently a professor in the Department of Photography at the University of the Arts (ES UN), la Habana, ya que 2024. He studied at the Raúl Corrales Academy of Fine Arts in Ciego de Ávila (2002–2006) and later at the University of the Arts (ES UN), la Habana (2007–2012).

His awards include the Estudio 21 Creation Grant from the Center for the Development of Visual Arts (2010 y 2022), Second Prize at Post-it 8 (2021), el El reino de este mundo Grant from AHS (2020), and the Raúl Corrales Photography Creation Grant from Fototeca de Cuba (2013).

He has also maintained active involvement in workshops and professional collaborations, incluido Photography as Process: A Necessary Distance (Fotocanímar, 2024), the Albumen Workshop at the San Gerónimo University College of Havana, and Habana Photo Camp organized by National Geographic (2016).
