The worst nightmare of that night was being trapped for long minutes in a dream that felt realistic. Doctors call it sleep paralysis; for me, it was almost like a revelation. It was only then that I had the opportunity to live inside a photograph. I came to believe that I was hallucinating. I still sleep searching to return to that place where nothing has been. Perhaps it has to do with the desire to escape from my own reality. I consulted my grandmother about the meaning of this dream; she told me she does not know, but to be careful—seeking the reason can produce monsters.
