The eighth edition of thePrisma concurso de arte, celebrado entre octubre y noviembre 2024 en el marco de la XV Bienal de La Habana, reafirmó la vitalidad duradera del paisaje como uno de los géneros más fértiles de las artes visuales. este año, el tema se expandió más allá de la representación del entorno natural para convertirse en un espacio simbólico para la reflexión sobre las emociones., filosofía, y la relación humana con el contexto.
The selected works revealed the diversity ofarte contemporáneo cubano, interactuando con las nuevas tecnologías, poética personal, and the challenges of a world increasingly mediated by the digital.
Promoted byArteMorfosis, the platform behind the contest, Prisma 8 embraced a hybrid format that combined a physical exhibition at itsEvent Rooms in Havana with a virtual showcase accessible to an international audience — in harmony with the Biennial’s spirit, Shared Horizons.
Beyond rewarding visual excellence, the jury valued the artists’ ability to communicate their vision and extend their presence across digital and social media platforms.
