Gabriela Lopez
Gabriela López Gil (Heilige Klara, 2002) is a young Cuban photographer whose work is defined by the exploration of identity and a deeply intimate approach. Although she graduated with a degree in Journalism in 2024, her training as a photographer has been essentially self-taught, guided by a keen sensitivity to the personal and the symbolic. Her work stands out for its reflective gaze, capable of revealing inner worlds through the still image.
She has participated in various group exhibitions, establishing a steady upward path within the field of visual arts in Cuba. In 2024, she won second prize at the Carlos Enríquez Visual Arts Salon in Villa Clara and was a finalist in the Prisma competition, organized by the ArteMorfosis platform—confirming the recognition of her aesthetic vision within the emerging circuits of contemporary Cuban art.
