Alejandro Ulloa

Independent artist, born in Havana, Cuba. 1980. In the last four years he has held personal and collective exhibitions such as: 2024 Group show "HOW I FEEL WHEN…". Studio "La Casa del Rio" of the artist Antonio.G. Margolles. Havana, Cuba / 2024 Collective intervention "DERRUM". FELKO Artist Residence, Havana, Cuba / 2023 Personal painting exhibition "Paintings by A.Ulloa". Studio of the artist Ezequiel O. Suárez. Havana, Cuba / 2022 Group show "Fear is of no use to us". Gloria Delson Contemporary Art Gallery. Los Angeles, CA. USA / Intervention with painting, installation. "FOR SALE" /Personal exhibition in my studio, in Playa, Havana, Cuba. In 2004 he won the prize in sculpture for the work "Irreversible" (Provincial Center of Plastic Arts and Design, Havana) and and for the same work he received a mention from the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts during the Panorama 42 Plastic Arts Salon. For the work: "Guillermo L. Héroe del Trabajo", he won the Servando C.M. prize in painting at the Salon Playa 2005. In 2005, he took the Art Conduct Course for 2 years, directed by the artist Tania Bruguera and went to the third year of the Sociology course at the University of Havana (2009). Participated in the residency organized by lacasaamarilla.org / Forum for discussion and exhibitions / Stays in Latin America and Europe (2007) and in the Residency organized by the artist Tania Bruguera "Betonsalon", Paris France / Group Exhibition (2009).
