Raúl Navarro González

Raúl Navarro González (Matanzas, Cuba, 1991) is a Cuban photographer and photojournalist whose work combines documentary precision with a strong visual narrative. He has participated in several photography salons and competitions, including the Fotocanímar Festival (2024) and the Kairós Center Christian Art Salon.

Navarro González has received multiple awards and recognitions for his photographic work, among them the Celestino García Franco First Prize for Photojournalism (2022), the Nelson Barrera First Prize for Photojournalism (2022), the Ibero-American Fotonaratón Photography Contest Winner (2022), and an Honorable Mention at the International Photography Competition of the World Meteorological Organization.

His work was featured on the cover of the Matanzas Tourist Guide, and he currently works as a photojournalist for the newspaper Girón in Matanzas, Cuba. His images capture the essence of Cuban daily life, blending artistry and social insight within the framework of contemporary Cuban photography.
