Limerence proposes the decontextualization of the most common meaning attributed to sentimental love, idealized as a surrender in body and soul that knows no limits or physical and psychological barriers. The term refers to the involuntary state of mind resulting from the romantic attraction of one person to another. Based on these semantics, the photos explore the possible paths of love embodied in a toxic relationship, taken to extreme consequences. The proposal explores the unmeasured rapport of young couples and the contradictions inherent to this type of commitment, ranging from the sublime or passionate feeling, to the visceral or stark: love-hate in its most vehement expression.
