Artwork Statement

Interruption depicts the moment a human presence enters an animal habitat and the observed becomes the observer. A tense instant of mutual recognition blurs the boundary between human and animal, confronting the viewer with the impact of looking from a distance while also being seen. The photograph explores wildlife, habitat intrusion, the ethics of observation, and the fragile relationship between people and the natural world.
