    Artwork Statement

    This is a collection of physiograms (long-exposure photographs created using the light-painting technique) that take the Moon as both subject and “pigment” to produce luminous and symbolic images. The Moongraphs follow, in spirit and principle, the art of Asian calligraphy. They emerge from a single, unaltered “stroke” and inhabit a dreamlike limbo between abstraction and representation.
