Passage No.3 / Pasaje No.3
From the "Passages" series, which comprises a collection of 21 drawings made with mixed media on cardboard, where the superimposition of circles, ellipses and spirals, accentuated by shadows that add depth, generates a dynamic play of movement and shapes. These drawings are not only independent pieces, but also act as a crucial phase of exploration and preparation for the creation of three-dimensional sculptures. The artist's inspiration to explore the cyclical and the transitory comes directly from her context and experiences, the journey of human experience. Movement and form allow her to create more dynamic works to reach introspection. The ellipses bring the idea of continuity, it is a friendly and organic form. The series explores the interest in the cyclical and the transitory. The drawings represent a starting point in the aesthetic and conceptual exploration of three-dimensional form, offering a visual journey that will inform and shape the kinetic manifestation of the sculpture. The ellipses, by reinforcing movement, enrich the visual narrative of the series, adding layers of depth to the dynamic and constructive potential sought to be realized in the future sculpture.
