With my work I delve into the most universal and profound human truths present in the social reality of today's Cuba, representing scenes that from the subjectivity of the gaze transcend the mere documentary chronicle to enter into the substance that lies behind the phenomenal, with all its nuances, and I also grant an important place to the harmony and subtleties that evoke me certain motifs.

The spirit of the pieces varies according to my alter-ego; a part of me, instinctive and vital, makes emotional catharsis and pictorial exorcism on the canvas, or celebrates existence as it is; as its reverse, I turn to romantic contemplative and poetic lyricism, delighting in the greatness of the simple and anonymous, where I find a parallel reality to this world of cares and appearances.
