Néster Núñez (Matanzas, Cuba, 1975) is a Cuban photographer, writer, and psychologist whose career bridges literature, visual arts, and communication. He has worked as a television journalist, radio scriptwriter, and editor for Ediciones Matanzas and Ediciones Aldabón (AHS Matanzas). Author of five books for both children and adults, Núñez completed the Narrative Techniques Workshop at the Onelio Jorge Cardoso Literary Training Center, the International Screenwriting Workshop at EICTV, and the Community Lens Audiovisual Workshop at the Christian Center for Reflection and Dialogue. He has also undertaken several postgraduate studies in Social Communication at the University of Havana. His literary and audiovisual works have received national awards, and he holds the National Registry of Audiovisual Creators. Over the past five years, he has devoted himself professionally to photography, developing a body of work that combines journalistic precision with a poetic and reflective visual language. Since 2022, he has been a regular contributor to La Joven Cuba, where he publishes chronicles and photo essays addressing contemporary Cuban life and identity. He has also produced documentary shorts for Periodismo de Barrio, further consolidating his presence in the field of Cuban contemporary photography and visual storytelling.
