Néster Núñez Gómez (Matanzas, Cuba, 1975) is a Cuban documentary photographer and writer with a degree in Psychology. Throughout his career, he has worked as a television journalist, radio scriptwriter, proofreader, and publishing editor, while also serving as a cultural promoter. In recent years, he has devoted himself primarily to documentary photography, developing projects focused on human rights, aging, care, marginality, and everyday life in Cuba. His images have been published in Cuban and international independent media outlets, and have also been exhibited in group shows at galleries and museums in Matanzas and Havana.

Over the course of his professional career, he has worked with cultural institutions and media outlets such as Radio Progreso, Radio 26, TV Yumurí, Ediciones Matanzas, and Ediciones Aldabón. He has also collaborated as a photographer with the theater group El Portazo and as a columnist and photojournalist for La Joven Cuba. He is the author of several books published between 2009 and 2015 and has received awards in both the audiovisual and literary fields, including distinctions at the National Telecenters Festival and a children’s literature award from the Fundación de la Ciudad de Santa Clara. His training includes workshops and courses in narrative, communication, and audiovisual scriptwriting, offered by institutions such as the University of Havana and the International School of Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños.
