Olivia Torres Díaz
Olivia Torres Díaz (Havana,1999) is a visual artist graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (2018-2022). She has participated in numerous personal and collective exhibitions among which stand out: "Fractales". Cuban Art Factory (FAC). Havana, Cuba (2022); "Post-it 9". Galiano Gallery. Havana, Cuba (2022); - "Post-It 8". Galiano Gallery. Havana, Cuba (2021). She was the winner of the first Call for Entries Program of the Young Art Fund 2023. She is currently a professor of Restoration, Sculpture and Furniture profile, in the Faculty of Restoration at the University of the Arts, ISA, and a professor of drawing and painting in training workshops for children and adolescents, sponsored by the Focolares Movement.
The themes of his work range from landscapes worked in abstraction to miniature painting, on canvas or board. The landscapes in his work are valuable documents of the expression of the man who inhabits them. He is currently exploring with human figuration and its interweaving with the context.
