Group Exhibition – What Can I Say Through Myself ?
What Can I Say Through Myself?, presented by the ArteMorfosis platform, explores female identity and self-representation in contemporary art through a theme that has remained central throughout art history: self-referentiality and the artist’s desire to reinterpret personal circumstances, memories, and lived experiences through creative practice.
The exhibition brings together works by Lisandra Isabel García López, Nadia Díaz Graverán, Olivia Torres Díaz, Shanaya Herrera Vega, and Adriana Mugia, whose practices create spaces for exploring identity, representation, affection, memory, and female experience. Through diverse techniques, media, and conceptual approaches, each artist transforms personal experience into a distinct artistic territory.
Although each artist approaches the subject from a unique perspective, their works converge in the reconstruction—and, at times, deconstruction—of symbolic universes shaped by female experience. Personal histories, emotions, memories, and perceptions become points of departure for examining how identity is formed, represented, and transformed through art.
Rather than presenting femininity as a slogan or an exercise in militant feminism, What Can I Say Through Myself? approaches it as an intimate exploration of the experiences, emotions, and memories that contribute to each artist’s individual identity.
