Reinier Garcés Hernández

Graduated in Religious Sciences in 2022, from the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences (Havana, Cuba), and in Camera Handling and Lighting at the School of Creative Photography in Havana in 2016. He works on the documentation of natural and architectural spaces, works of art and elements of his daily life, through the realization of a digital Archive (2005 - 2024) technically organized in three concepts of realization: photographic and filmic documentation, video art realization, and design and edition, in which the series Tierra en trance (documentation archive of Topes de Collantes, 2022), the Documentation within the Kunst Historisches Museum Wien (Austria, 2018), and archives on the Havana Biennial in its XII and XIII editions (2012 and 2015 respectively) are recorded. He presented his work in the group exhibition Donde existo en paz, habito (Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visuales, Havana, 2022). His work constitutes an audiovisual essay that responds to an aesthetic satisfaction, and to his sensibility and presence in different places. The materials he collects are not governed by a particular theme; they capture personal visions of any space and moment of his life. The design and editing of her own archive allows her to re-conceptualize each primary element in new artistic configurations as she revisits and enriches that archive. She works on the memory of frugal, spontaneous events, and in the same way the technical supports respond to an experimental improvisation.
