    Artwork Statement

    “Supremacist Discourse” is a series that aims to demonstrate this phenomenon. I start with images of historical paintings (taken from magazines and, in some cases, from museum collections). Given the possibilities offered by collage, I cut and paste, using a geometric visual style, a subtle reference to the aesthetic principles of Suprematism as an artistic movement. In the resulting images, I play with geometric elements to such a degree that I obscure or highlight political figures, generating images that are conscious of these processes.
