Persecution is a work that takes as stylistic references the technique of Sumi-e, which by its necessary concentration in its realization alludes to the rediscovery of the inner self and freedom. Appropriating the aesthetic codes of Sumi- e, the representation of the deer became a perennial act during times of confinement. During the long periods of seclusion metaphorically capturing the image of this mythological animal became an allegory of the eternal human desire to understand life.
