Stolen Horizons is a series that traces another cartography of the migratory landscape, with paintings that reconstruct the temporality and latency of the irregular itineraries of emigrants, based on their subjective visions as they narrate their misfortunes. The paintings are an amalgam of rural and landscape images that are diluted, degraded and not very clear, because they are made up of sediments of information entangled with the migrants' state of mind and dreams. The subjectivity that the artist brings to the place recreated from the painting turns them into places that exist on the canvas; they become remained places that become blurred in the same pictorial process.
