    Artwork Statement

The piece demonstrates an opposition to hegemonic systems or power structures that seek to subject the masses to a doctrine.

The work uses the term ''urban ghost'' for the meaning given to it by social imaginaries. It represents a social symbol that is based on a fact, an object or a story that does not exist in the empirical verifiable reality, but a community imagines them and lives them as really existing, which causes a citizen gesture that, in this case, is identified as the attitude taken by the main character of the story. In this way, the imaginary that the painting expresses corresponds to a collective perception and to a category of cognition of high social subjectivity.
