The sunset / El ocaso
The story is set in ancient feudal Japan, a time of clashes between ronin (masterless samurai) and their counterparts. As a pretext to talk about honor, the paintings present rival groups that take dualism as a thread that runs through the whole story. Symbol of the correctness and arrogance of the law, or representation of justice and the state of indecency, the sentence that at that time dictated discrimination is established. The works show the dual thinking of the subject based on the odd ethics, continuously reflecting on the link between order and chaos in today's society, t h r o u g h the interpretation of traditional characters of Japanese culture that are ultimately the same person. Perhaps here a critical reflection to the current society, allowing to define the samurai and the ronin from the contemporary man.
