    Artwork Statement

For some time now I have been getting closer to nature, which has been a mystical experience for me. I am amazed by its power and beauty, which motivates the realization of the “Far Horizons” series. I am attracted by the shapes of insects, the roots of trees, the earth... which, even when they make up the landscape, are practically silent and invisible to man. From the study of the natural element I address issues that have always concerned me: unconsciousness, silence or the genesis of the universe. I try to intuit the sensations that a prehistoric man might have experienced when contemplating the Cosmos. That is the origin of my interest in rocks because I feel that they contain the energies of the bowels of the earth. My work is an attempt of plastic expression of this force. I live the production of these objects as a heroic mission, whose mission is to elucidate from a mystical or religious foundation the relationship between man and the universe.
