Dayron Gallardo – Far Horizons
The proposal of Cuban artist Dayron Gallardo (Havana, 1986) seems to inhabit dreamlike worlds. His paintings are permeated by a mystical breath. However, the artist does not throw himself into the confines of imagination in his ideo-aesthetic approaches; from them he seeks, in a sort of metaphysical exercise, the essences of our sensitive universe.
With “Far Horizons” he delves into the substances of nature, in those horizons parallel to our life that pass in silent existence. Hence, the organic acquires in the works that make up this series an almost palpable presence: a synesthetic experience that is reinforced by the sound environments that, in unison, its creator makes. The diegesis of his sounds, together with that visuality of surrealist shades nuances so much his own, summons us to a journey to the seed, to take a close look at the multiple and marvelous underlying manifestations of life
