    Artwork Statement

"Without anima, without spirit, synonyms" is a multidisciplinary series that explores the human condition. It offers a reflection on the relentless search for transcendence and the inherent absurdity of human life. Through the use of the body, I turn to performativity to transform drawing into a mental stage, a projection of the consciousness of a single character subjected to the arbitrariness of their context. The subject's emptiness is objectified through the decomposition and breakdown of a linear vision of the protagonist, where the characters become extensions of their own inner conflict, alluding to their thought processes, fears, and desires that inhabit abstract and undefined spaces and times.
