
Ricardo Fabián Fernández Díaz
Ricardo Fabián Fernández Díaz (Havana, 2002) is a promising Cuban visual artist currently training at the prestigious Academia Nacional de Artes Visuales San Alejandro. His early artistic journey began with his participation in the Cintio Vitier Sociocultural Project (2007-2015), which greatly influenced his development in the art world. Since 2022, Fernández has worked as an Art Instructor and contributed as an illustrator to notable publications, including Latidos(2023) by Miguel Cruz Suárez and Tirones (2025) by Reinaldo Cedeño Pineda.
Fernández has furthered his expertise through workshops such as "Basic Drawing Fundamentals" at Fábrica de Arte Cubano (2024). His artwork has been featured in several prominent collective exhibitions, including Prisma VIII at Artemorfosis (2024), the Havana Biennial’s City Salon (2024), Malayerba at Fondo de Arte Joven, Homenaje at San Alejandro, and the III Salon of Abstract Art at the José Antonio Díaz Peláez Experimental Center of Visual Arts.
In 2024, he received the City Salon Award at Galería Luz y Oficios, recognizing his growing impact on the Cuban art scene. With an evolving artistic vision and an active presence in exhibitions, Ricardo Fabián Fernández Díaz is steadily establishing his position within the contemporary Cuban visual arts community.
