About Artist

Bryan Romero (b.1994 Havana, Cuba) is a Cuban visual artist whose work explores the intersection of digital media, animation, and traditional artistic practices. He graduated from the prestigious Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes San Alejandro in Havana in 2013, one of the most renowned art institutions in Cuba. In 2024, he completed his higher education in Visual Arts at the Universidad de las Artes (ISA), Havana, strengthening his multidisciplinary approach to contemporary art.

From 2013 to 2016, Romero worked as a restorer and conservator in the Polychromy and Gilding Workshop of the Restoration and Conservation Cabinet of the Office of the Historian of Havana, where he developed a deep understanding of heritage preservation, material techniques, and historical aesthetics. This experience significantly shaped his sensitivity to texture, symbolism, and narrative in visual culture.

Since 2021, he has been actively involved as a freelance motion graphic designer and animator in independent Cuban film projects, merging his artistic vision with digital storytelling. His practice combines painting, animation, video art, and graphic experimentation, seeking new ways to express identity, memory, and visual language in contemporary Cuban art.

Currently based in Havana, Bryan Romero continues to expand his creative work across visual arts, animation, and digital media, positioning himself as part of a new generation of Cuban artists redefining artistic expression in the digital era.
