The work of Frank David Valdés (Matanzas, 1988) stands as a visual narrative of the human and, why not, of its own creator. The anecdotal character prevails in them, perhaps already as a constant. This, together with a wide and lively color palette, make up his particular poetics. The canvases, and in this case cardboards, of this Cuban artist echo an impetuosity in the act of creation, as if it were an exorcism of passions.

“To contemplate the work of Frank David Valdés Hernández, to analyze it, to understand it, is to enter a world of codes, revisits, winks, a system of symbols that the artist creates in his microcosm, from events, mostly self-referential. Sensitive to life, relationships, human beings, this young creator is in love with his books, his stories, muses and paintings”. (Cary Quintana)
