In an era of increasing access to technology, creators seem less dependent on others to bring their visions to life. Many believe that individualism has become one of the defining traits of contemporary art.

Yet, time and again, remarkable projects emerge from the fruitful collaboration between two or more artists—where the convergence of diverse poetics does not restrict creativity but multiplies horizons, expanding the spectrum of ideas, emotions, and expectations.

The Prisma 5 Art Competition, organized by the ArteMorfosis platform in 2022, was born precisely from this spirit: to encourage collective art projects that celebrate creative cooperation and strengthen the values of solidarity and mutual respect.

ArteMorfosis aimed to particularly inspire students from art academies and schools across Cuba, recognizing that collaborative processes play a vital role in the education and professional growth of emerging artists.

The winners of this edition were Alejandro Lescay & Chuli HerreraLeo de la O & Daniel Ernesto Reyes, and Héctor Onel Guevara Delgado & Marlon Riverón Escobar  (Ups Art Group) — six creators whose joint works reflect the power of dialogue, shared vision, and the transformative energy of collaboration in Cuban contemporary art.
