About Artist

Leandro Pérez Figueredo (Las Tunas,1991 Cuba) is a Cuban visual artist with a background in art education, curatorial studies, and community-based artistic practice. He is a graduate of the University of Las Tunas, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Instruction, and previously trained at the Rita Longa Professional Art School, complementing his studies with a Diploma in Curatorship.

His work has been exhibited in Cuba, Italy, Spain, and online international platforms, including exhibitions at the UNEAC GalleryCentro Provincial de Artes PlásticasGalería Fayad Jamís, and the recurring national event Mayo Abstracto. He has participated in prominent group exhibitions such as Cuba que linda es Cuba (Perugia, Italy), the Guernica Salon, the Martiano Salon, and digital competitions focused on contemporary illustration and visual arts.

Pérez Figueredo has received multiple distinctions, such as Second Prize at the Guernica Salon (2025)First Prize at the Provincial Salon of Art Instructors (2015), Honor Mentions at the Martiano Provincial Salon, and First Prize at the HUION Digital Drawing Challenge (2025). His artistic practice also extends to public and community art projects, where he has created murals for cultural institutions, schools, and art initiatives across Las Tunas.

He has served as a curator and jury member in local artistic events, contributing to the promotion, critique, and development of visual culture in Cuba. His works are held in private collections in Cuba, the United States, Spain, Colombia, and Italy, reflecting his increasing presence within the contemporary Cuban art context.
