THE CUBAN ARTS GROUP (TCAG) FOUNDATION COLLATERAL AWARD

Acta del Jurado TCAG en español

As part of the collaboration with the ArteMorfosis team and the Prisma 11 Contest, the TCAG team, following an exhaustive analysis of the submitted proposals, highlights the high quality of the contestants and their ability to expand the boundaries of portraiture. Special value was placed on the coherence between the artist’s conceptual discourse and its material resolution, as well as the ability to project these concerns into the current cultural ecosystem.
Our team has decided to grant the The Cuban Arts Group (TCAG) Collateral Award, shared equally, to the following artists and works:ual.

  • Darian Gallardo, for the work Discontent in Culture.
  • Ismael Olazabal, for the work Patrimonio.
  • Héctor Daniel Palacios, for the work Sibyl.

From our founding, we celebrate how these three works, from diverse perspectives, institutional critique, shared memory, and the sacralization of the ordinary, manage to capture the essence of the contemporary “Profile,” reaffirming the relevance of the portrait as a living dialogue between the author, the work, and its digital and physical context.

In witness whereof, representing the Foundation, this document is signed by:
