His solo exhibition Black-Out (Provincial Center for Visual Arts, Matanzas, 2017) marked a return to the public eye with a powerful reflection on light, absence, and visual memory. Other important participations include Te debo una luz que vuela (Esteban Chartrand Gallery, UNEAC, Matanzas, 2018) and Ríos Intermitentes, a project by Cuban-American artist María Magdalena Campos-Pons presented during the Havana Biennial in Matanzas (2019).

Alonso’s trajectory reflects an enduring contribution to Cuban photography, blending experimental vision, cultural identity, and poetic observation.
