Roberto González
Roberto González (1972) is a Cuban artist who graduated in Graphic Design from the Havana Design Institute and is a member of the UNEAC (National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba). Throughout his career, he has developed a solid foundation in the visual arts, with approximately 15 solo exhibitions held in Cuba and abroad. Among his most recent works are "Comfort Zone" (2025-2026), presented at the Casa del Benemérito de Las Américas in Old Havana, as well as previous exhibitions in Peru, Germany, the Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the United States, in venues such as the Museum of the Americas in San Juan and the Convent of San Francisco de Asís in Havana.
His work has also been featured in more than thirty group exhibitions in major galleries and international events in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, Bogotá, Atlanta, and Boston. He participated in the 7th Havana Biennial and in renowned contemporary art fairs and circuits. She has also created collaborative murals with prominent Cuban visual artists, and her work is part of private collections in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
In the art market and among art critics, her work has been auctioned seven times, including three sales at Sotheby's and one at Christie's, and is also listed in the French Dictionary of Prices (Akoun, 2007). Cultural critics have consistently followed her work, with reviews and essays published in various media outlets and books dedicated to contemporary Cuban art, confirming the international reach and sustained recognition of her art.
