
Talía Falcón Nizarane
Talía is a Cuban artist based in London since 2021. She holds a Master’s in Contemporary Art Practice, Public Sphere from the Royal College of Art and a Bachelor’s in Fine Art, Sculpture from the University of Art of Cuba. Talía works across mediums in installation, performance, text, photography, and video art, exploring issues of social mobility and global inequities, informed by cultural and historical dilemmas in her home country.
Talía has worked and exhibited in Cuba, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the UK, and Japan. Solo and two-person exhibitions include “Self-Preservation”, as part of the Graduate Show at The Truman Brewery, London, UK (2023); “The Road Not Taken”, Yamanaka Suplex Studio annexe MINE, Osaka, Japan (2022); “Cleaning Service”, Schaufenster Dreiviertel, Bern, Switzerland (2021); “UNWINNABLE”, XPO, Enschede, Netherlands (2020); and “Dificultades Iniciales”, 13th Havana Biennial, Havana, Cuba (2019).
Art residencies and collaborations include Lewisham Arthouse, London, UK (2025, upcoming); In Place of War, London, UK (2024-2025); PROGR Foundation, Center for Cultural Practice, Bern, Switzerland (2024); Kyoto City University of Arts and Yamanaka Suplex Studio, Kyoto and Osaka, Japan (2022-2023); Zurich University of the Arts’s Learning from Inequality Pilot Project, Zurich, Switzerland (2020-2023); ARE Holland, Enschede, Netherlands (2020); and Asociacion Hermanos Saiz, Havana, Cuba (2019-2020).
Talía’s work is part of the Bernardo Quetglas Collection in Mallorca, Spain. In 2025, she became a member of the British Art Network.
