Nothing outside of myself can cause me problems. I myself create the waves in my mind. I want to find calm in the midst of the storm, and be able to face any adversity.
One of the biggest contemporary (and personal) challenges is dealing with stress and anxiety. The relationship between the body, meditation and mental calm is close. We begin to pay attention to our breathing and the physical sensations present in our body. This mindfulness helps us connect with the present moment and free ourselves from worries and thoughts that can generate stress and anxiety.
Personally, the act of embroidery is my meditation in action and this mantra is a way to calm and bring peace to my interior, in the midst of the storm.
