    Artwork Statement

The Empty Dreams are the handmade, artisanal construction of fantasy. The palm-frond wings are not functional; they are simulacra. The balloon is a prosthesis of artificial joy, a fragile container of oxygen that could vanish at any moment. In an age of filters and digital perfection, what does the precariousness of a costume reveal about our need for personal mythology?

The Body as Territory. This approach takes on a more political and anthropological dimension, particularly in relation to the environment in which these beings coexist.

The exhibition questions whether we are truly flying or merely suspended in a state of poetic precariousness. The photographs explore the fragility of personal myth. In a world obsessed with ascension and success, individuals fashion wings from whatever they have at hand: organic remnants and inexpensive industrial objects. Everything becomes part of the salvation of the spirit of a being who, at times, plays at being human.
