    Artwork Statement

    In 2007 I began to work on the theme of the black citizen inserted in the society of the West in a definitive way and without the need to look for his pride in his remote past in Africa or in the cotton or sugar cane fields. I believe that we have a history right here and right now that we should be proud of without the need to be the kings of dance. We are also doctors, bricklayers and tourists of the world, as much migrants as the others with Caucasian skin.
