    Artwork Statement

This photograph is part of the record of the performance ''Adaptation'', which in turn corresponds to a cycle of actions that symbolize the search for the habitat. This work recalls the sensations we feel when we leave the place where we live, with the idea of starting again in another totally unknown place. A process similar to what happens with migration and migrants. "Adaptation'' implies the appropriation of the found form, an intervention of space through the body that employs analogy as a fundamental concept of design. It is the permanence in new spaces and the capacity to adapt to them. The skin is the main material. The artist remained inside the ruined structure until she found the symbiosis with the form. During the process, she adopted different positions until she adapted and found the best fusion with the element. She related the flesh to the ruins, the flesh without clothes. She brought nothing with her, only the skin.
