Ernesto Garcia Peña (* 1949, Matanzas, Cuba) is one of the first post-revolutionary generation artists of Cuba, and in Cuba a well established painter and draftsman which shows in his long list of his exhibitions. Himself trained at the Art Academy in Havana, he taught there for many years and influenced the following generations. Gallery Inauguration and Vernissage of ‘Art: Elixir of Life’ by Flora Fong

Flora Fong (*1949) ist eine der bekanntesten zeitgenössischen Künstlerinnen Kubas und eine der ersten Frauen der postrevolutionären Kunstszene. Ihre Arbeiten wurden international an zahlreichen Ausstellungen präsentiert und mehrfach ausgezeichnet. In ihren Werken verbindet sie chinesische und karibische Sichtweisen mit starken Form- und Farbakzenten. Dadurch erhalten ihre Gemälde und Skulpturen ihre unverwechselbare eigene Bildsprache. Heute fallen der Höhepunkt ihres künstlerischen Schaffens und die aktuelle kulturelle und wirtschaftliche Öffnung Kubas zeitlich zusammen.
