Ernesto Millán (Matanzas, Cuba, 1973) is a Cuban photographer and visual artist, member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in German Language and Literature from the University of Havana (1998).

He has completed several specialized courses and workshops in photography, including Photography in the Visual Arts(taught by Carlos Vegas, 2002); From Documentary Photography to Photojournalism (Ramón Pacheco, 2006); Cuban Photography (Livorio Nodal, 2008); and FotoFest International and Foundation for Culture and Society (2017).

Millán has received numerous distinctions, including being invited to the International Biennial of Lyon (2019), earning the Juan Esnard Grant, and winning the Grand Prize at the Provincial Salon of Visual Arts of UNEAC, Matanzas (2022). He also participated in the Havana Biennial through the projects Ríos Intermitentes I, II, and III, presented in Matanzas.

His work has been featured in several group exhibitions, such as Inventario I and Salón de Invierno (Galería Pedro Esquerré, UNEAC, 2021); Mundos Convergentes (Fotonoviembre, Galería Pedro Esquerré, 2022); Sinceramente(UNEAC, 2022); and Salón José Ramón Fundora (UNEAC, 2023), all in Matanzas.

Among his solo exhibitions, highlights include Intrépidos Labios (Palacio Quintanar, Spain, 2013); Sábanas Blancas(Provincial Center of Visual Arts and Design, Havana, 2022); and a scenographic exhibition for the zarzuela Santa Camila de La Habana Vieja at the National Theater of Cuba (Havana, 2022). He also presented art interventions such as El Cepo del Silencio (Historias Incómodas) and Memoria del Dolor in different venues across Matanzas (2022–2023), as well as El Cepo del Silencio (Historias Incómodas) at the University of Matanzas (2024).
