About Artist

Natasha Forcade Gómez is a visual artist in training with a solid academic and professional background. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts at the Faculty of Visual Arts of the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA). Previously, she earned a Master's degree in Innovation Management from the Instituto Superior de Tecnologías Aplicadas (2011) and graduated as an Engineer in Automation and Control Systems from the Instituto Superior Politécnico “José Antonio Echeverría” (2007).

She has participated in numerous exhibitions and artistic projects, notably her presence at the 15th Havana Biennial with initiatives such as Expansion 15 at the Wifredo Lam Center for Contemporary Art, Open Studio M.O.R. at Yiso Studios, and Harvest of Light, developed between Havana and Pinar del Río. She is also part of the Matahambre research-creation project and was awarded the Estudio 21 Creation Grant from the CDAV.

Since 2021, her work has been exhibited both in Cuba and abroad, including shows at the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba, ArteMorfosis Gallery, and Etherea Gallery in Milan, Italy. She has received important recognitions such as the First Prize at the XXIX Erotic Art Salon in 2023 and the Grand Prize at the 9th edition of the Nature Digital Photography event in 2021. Her work has also been featured in publications such as Cutting Edge Art in Havana, 100 Cuban Artists and The Portuguese Footprint in Cuba.

In addition to her exhibition work, Forcade Gómez has collaborated on editorial and photographic projects for international magazines and companies, such as Virtuoso Life magazine and the Liebherr crane company. Her participation in the International Photo Project in Milan and in the photography contest Guevara, A Million Facesreaffirms her global projection within contemporary art.
