
Yasiel Elizagaray
Yasiel Elizagaray, born in 1987, trained as an Art Instructor specializing in Visual Arts at the Vladislav Volkov School in 2005. Currently, he works as an independent artist at his OpenStudio Elizagaray, located in Trinidad and Havana. Throughout his career, he has earned notable accolades, including the CFA Artist of the Year Award for Excellence in 2019, and has been recognized at prestigious events such as the “Fidelio Ponce de León” Visual Arts Salon and the Fayad Jamís Visual Arts Biennial.
Elizagaray has held solo exhibitions in significant cultural venues in Cuba, such as “Ánimas” at Artis718 Gallery (2023) and “Mirando el vacío” at Benito Ortiz Gallery (2019). His work has also been showcased in prominent international group exhibitions, including ARTMADRID in Spain (2023) and events at galleries in the United States, such as Chasen Galleries and the Baltimore Art Show. His art forms part of both public and private collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas and renowned collections like Cernuda Arte in Florida.
