The Side I Choose

Two different visions, two opposing perspectives. Through portraiture, this work explores conflicting realities framed within opposite contexts.

The choice of color, texture, and the gestures of the depicted figures offers the viewer clues about each character’s position. As the title suggests, the viewer must choose from which side they wish to see the work, and which of these realities aligns with their own thinking, standpoint, and way of feeling.
