Onay Rosquet – UNBOXING

Onay Rosquet (Havanna, *1987) knows that objects inherently convey meaning. The young artist constructs stories by painting collected objects which he places in a new seemingly random context. These precise arrangements do not originate unintentionally, but are the outcome of a sensual an intellectual selection process.

UNBOXING shows crates full of daily objects, which through what they have witnessed and though their silent presence enter into a dialogue with the spectator.
