Airel Suárez
Born in Havana in 2004, Airel Suárez Fuentes pursued studies at the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts and is currently continuing his training at the University of the Arts (ISA). Despite his youth, he has built a rising career trajectory that includes solo exhibitions such as Pisar el horizonte (2023) and Entre cuatro paredes (2025), as well as extensive participation in group shows in Cuba, Panama, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States. In 2024, he won the Grand Prize at the malaYerba young art competition—one of the most significant honors for emerging artists in the country. His work is held in private collections in Panama, New York, Madrid, and Geneva, confirming the international reach of an artistic practice that explores the relationships between memory, architecture, identity, and history from a contemporary perspective.
