The Dance of the Utomá / El baile de los Utomá
In this piece, I sought to explore the complexity of the human mind through a composition of strange beings that represent the many facets of our thoughts. Each figure—each dancing "Utomá"—with its unique shape and color, symbolizes the ideas and emotions that often appear chaotic and disordered.
Life is filled with moments when our thoughts intertwine in unexpected ways, creating a mental landscape that can be both confusing and fascinating. Through this figurative and dreamlike work, I invite the viewer to embrace that process. Rather than seeking immediate clarity, I propose we allow ourselves to navigate the disorder, recognizing that there is beauty and meaning even in confusion.
Each being in the composition serves as a reminder that our internal struggles are part of our humanity. By accepting the complexity of our thoughts, we find a path toward self-understanding and creativity.
